Formula OB-1 Racing League

IT’S LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO! Welcome to Formula OB-1! An Oceania based F1 Racing League! Drivers of all levels are welcome here and our main goal is to have a bit of fun with some clean competitive racing. We race every Sunday at 7.30pm AEST Crossplay enabled Short Qualy Mainly 50% race distance but also some back to back 25% and 1 100% race

Race Sign-Up • All drivers are required to complete the race sign-up before each race weekend. • If you are unable to race click decline do not just ignore it. • Make sure your EA ID is in the designated channel • Get online at least 15 mins before the race start to avoid communicating errors, and so we start on time. Telemetry ID • Every driver must have their Telemetry ID set to visible. This allows our software to automatically collect race results and update the championship standings. • If you’re unsure how to enable it, please reach out Recording Races • Drivers must record every race. • Race footage may be requested by the stewards when reviewing incidents. Race Engineers • The use of race engineers or outside assistance during league races is prohibited. • Only drivers participating in the race may be invited to the lobby. • Breaching this rule will result in a DSQ Race Start Procedure • After selecting your race strategy, DO NOT press Ready. • The host will start the race after approximately 2 minutes. This gives drivers time to adjust strategies, tire temperatures, fuel etc. Racing Standards • Formula OB-1 follows the official Formula 1 racing rules. • Unrealistic dive bombs, avoidable contact, dangerous driving, or reckless manoeuvres that cause incidents will be penalised. • The driver who is ahead at the apex has the right to corner, provided they have their car under control and are capable of making the corner. AI Usage • During Qualifying, switching to AI while your car is on track is prohibited. You must drive back to the pits yourself. • During the Race, if you need to go into AI please do it responsibly and safely. • Going into AI while behind the Safety Car is not permitted. Drivers must remain in control of their cars at all times. • Breaching these rules may result in a penalty Retiring • Do not intentionally crash into a wall or retire your car on track. • If you wish to retire from the race, safely drive your car back to the pits before retiring. • Remember that anything can happen in a league race and just because you get damage or have a spin, it doesn’t mean your race is over. Always try to finish the race. • Failure to do so may result in a penalty. Safety Car • Maintain a sensible gap to the car ahead. • Do not repeatedly drive alongside or make unnecessary contact with the car in front while behind the Safety Car. Incident Reporting If you wish to report an incident: • Post your race clip in the Issues & Complaints channel. • This channel is for incident submissions only. Please do not chat in this channel, as important reports may be missed. • The stewards will review all submitted footage. • Please be patient—some incidents may not be reviewed until the following day. Penalties Failure to comply with these rules may result in: * Warning * Time penalty * Grid penalty * DSQ * Race ban * Removal from Formula OB-1
